Ukanafun Youths commend outgone Education Boss

Youths of Ukanafun Local Government Area, under the aegis of Ukanafun Youths for Good Governance (UYGG), have commended the immediate past Commissioner for Education in the state, Elder Aniekan Akpan, over what they described as "faithful service."
The group, in a release jointly signed by the President, Mr. Ubong Emmanuel and Secretary General, Unyimeobong Akpan said youths of Ukanafun are satisfied with the superlative performance exhibited by Elder Akpan, throughout his stay as Commissioner in the Ministry of Education.

They lauded Elder Akpan on the milestone achievements recorded in the Ministry of Education under his watch, maintaining that that it takes an administrator with with a distinguished pedigree to record such feats.
"Elder Aniekan Akpan, during his stay as Commissioner for Education, brought his expertise as an education administrator to bear, thus giving the educational system in the state a face-lift.

"Apart from sanitising the educational system in the state, Elder Akpan also ensured the prompt payment of teachers' salaries, including arrears, and payment of pensions /gratuities, to retired teachers, thus boosting the free and compulsory education policy of the State government", parts of the release read.

The socio-political youth group further extended their vote of thanks to the State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, for appointing their son to serve in such key position and reiterated their loyalty to the PDP-led administration in the state.

The group appealed to the Governor to consider the reappointment of Elder Akpan, and admonished other citizens of the area serving in various positions to take a cue from Elder Akpan.
